Naturally, the peak season also attracts more tourists and have higher prices.
Summers and Tail-end Monsoons in Gokarna: More Pocket Friendly Seasons
March to May (summers) experiences rising temperatures (up to 38-45°C). September and October see the tail-end of the monsoon with occasional showers.
Shoulder seasons offer a good balance between affordability and decent weather. Enjoy water sports, sightseeing, and exploring the local markets. Tourist crows is lesser and more suited for people who would like to avoid a crowded Gokarna.
Monsoons in Gokarna: Lush Greenery (June – August)
These months experience heavy rains. The landscape turns lush green. Water sports are limited. However peaceful nature walks during this time is very rejuvenating.
Prices during these months are affordable, however the rains can restrict outdoor activities like treks and water sports.
So how to decide when to visit Gokarna?
Consider your priorities! If pleasant weather and vibrant activity are key, November to February is ideal. For budget travel and fewer crowds, March-May or September-October might be perfect.
