The stepwell inside the fort, known as the Baoli, is believed to be haunted. Visitors have reported eerie sounds and a feeling of being watched while exploring its depth, especially at night.

The Sher Mandal 
Inside the fort stands the Sher Mandal, a two-storied octagonal tower. Legend has it that Humayun used this tower as a library and it was from these steps that he fell to his death in 1556.

Excavation and Mysteries
Archaeological excavations done by B.B. Lal and others have uncovered the remnants of several civilizations, including artifacts from the Mauryan, Sunga, and Kushan periods, indicating a continuous occupation over centuries.
