Shoes allowed?
While shoes are allowed within the temple complex, the entrance to the temple is submerged in water from Tungabhadra. So you will not be able to enter within the structure.

Be cautious of monkeys as they are common around the Hampi area. The walking surfaces might be uneven or have gaps.

Carry a water bottle, sunscreen and hat as the sun can be strong in Hampi.
