If you begin from the capital, you have several ways to go. The fastest route is a flight to Bhopal (1.5 hours). Sanchi is a 45–minute drive from Bhopal. You may hire so cab or take a bus, both are easier options. Train (for the scenic route): This route will take approximately about 11-13 hours depending on the service to get to Sanchi. It could take in the landscapes that change as you travel through India. Popular vacation booking options such as MakeMyTrip or ClearTrip can be used to check for best flight and train options!
From Mumbai
If you are flying in from this vibrant city of Mumbai, you can directly fly to Bhopal in about 1.5 hours. A short cab ride after landing will get you there in under an hour. For train lovers, the Konkan Railway offers an excellent ride to Bhopal which might take roughly 16-18hrs. Pack some snacks for the drive!
From Hyderabad
There are also several travel options available from Hyderabad! A direct 1.5 hours flight can take you to Bhopal. From Trivandrum
For our buddies in Trivandrum, a flight to Bhopal is the only way to go. It will take around 4-5 hours with a stop. After arriving in Bhopal, it’s a short drive to Sanchi.
From Kolkata
Kolkata tourists can consider a flight to Bhopal (approx 1.5 hours) or a train that would take you there in about 12-14 hours. Either option will get you to the gateway of Sanchi comfortably!
From Bhubaneswar
If you are in Bhubaneswar take a flight to Bhopal, which solves travel time of around 1 hour 30 mins. Once you arrive, Sanchi is less than an hour away by cab. Alternatively, you may take a train ride, which can take me around 14-16 hours but gives me an opportunity to see the amazing countryside.
