Nainital is around 300 kilometers from Delhi, and here are a couple of options you can have to reach there:
1. By Air: The closest airport is Pantnagar Airport situated approximately 65 km away from Nainital. You can take a flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Pantnagar which is the most convenient route and takes around one hour. You can take a taxi from Pantnagar to Nainital (the drive takes around 1.5 hours).

  1. By Train: This is a good option for those visiting this country looking to travel in style. Delhi to Kathgodam is the closest railhead, approximately 34 kilometers from Nainital The entire transit would typically take 6-7 hours by train. When you arrive at Kathgodam, you can hire a taxi or take a shared cab for the last leg of the journey, which will take you about an hour.
  2. By Road: If you are feeling adventurous you can even drive all the way from Delhi. Driving or Busing: Driving/Busing plays a part as well and will take about 8–10 hours, traffic permitting. The best way is through NH9 and NH109, passing through some appealing towns and gorgeous scenery.
